The Stallion Barn
The Main Barn, used for our breeding Stallions, is located just on the outskirts of town, in a parklike locality. Each stallion has his own run, where he is turned out during the day. In the center of the Main Barn is the Presenting Foyer, where all of our stallion's are presented to the public at the commencement of their stud careers, and during the Open Houses. Adjacent to the Presenting Foyer, in the Right Wing, are the Offices of the Stallion Manager, Stallion Nominations, Marketing and Grounds-keeping. The Left Wing hosts the stalls of the stallions that are currently standing at stud.
The barn was constructed in 1908 as the primary residence of a Col. Willard Starin's trotting Standardbreds. After purchased at a estate dispersal following Starin's 1944 death, the barn was neglected and fell into a state of disrepair. In the 1980's Katmandu Farms purchased the property in a foreclosure auction, and worked diligently to restore the property to its former glory. Damaged boards were replaced, and the cupola and weather vane resting upon the top of the barn were recreated to the exact appearance of the original building.

Fair Hill (Broodmare Barn)
Fair Hill, our broodmare division, is a stone barn situated among many rolling paddocks and trees. An ornate building designed and built in the 1930's, it operated for 90 years as Rollare Stud, a dominant Hanoverian breeding operation. Following the death of Rollare's owner, Katmandu Farms purchased the facility and converted it to a Thoroughbred broodmare farm.
